Follow the steps below to install your filter.
Filter head · Outlet hose · Inlet hose · Teflon tape · 3/8″–1/2″ converter
Operating temperature
5–38°C / 35–100°F
Working pressure
10–100 psi (0.7–6.8 bar)
Feed water requirement
Municipal tap water
Note: If using well water as the source, make sure the feed water has passed through a pre-filtration system first — otherwise large particles in well water will clog the filter easily and shorten its life. Actual filter life varies according to local water quality. Replace the disposable filter cartridge every 6 months or 680 gallons, whichever comes first. If flow rate is significantly reduced, replace it as soon as possible. If your water pressure exceeds 60 psi (4.1 bar), it is highly recommended to install a pressure limiting valve to decrease flow rate and maintain filtration efficiency.
Warning: To reduce the risk associated with choking, do not allow children under 3 years old to have access to small parts during the installation of this product.
Use your thumb and index finger to press down on the lock sleeve. Use your other hand to pull the hose out of the fitting.
Note: Do not pull the tubing directly, or it will damage the fitting and cause leakage.
It's recommended to replace the disposable filter cartridge every 6 months or when the rated capacity is reached, whichever comes first.
Yes, this is normal. The inside of the filter uses coconut shell activated-carbon technology. Sometimes during transportation the filter is jostled and some carbon loosens. If you drain 2–3 gallons of water, it will become clear. We recommend about 5 minutes to let the system fully flush out.
Don't worry. You may notice a slight reduction in flow, but with time you will adjust to the reduction and can be sure you are drinking much cleaner water. Which is the whole point.
Turn on the water supply and check the leak location. If it's at a thread, wrap Teflon tape on the external thread. If it's at a quick-connect fitting, insert the fitting fully so the hose hits the bottom of the fitting. Contact us if the leak persists.
This system is intended for use with municipal or well water sources that have been treated and tested on a regular basis to ensure bacteriologically safe quality. Do not use water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
